Available Belt Splices

The two basic catagories of belts that we offer are Endless Belts, and Spliced Belts.  Our Endless Belts, made in Europe and when ordered, are made to your machine.

Wide Belt Sander Services

All of our belts are made to order.  Most of the time, a sander model number is not enough.  Some of our USA belts may take up to 4 days to produce.  Our European Endless belts can take up to 8 weeks.

Truly Endless (Pictured Above) – These belts are made to order from scratch to your specifications.  They are mandrill made so there is no “splice”/Step or weak point in the belt construction.  This construction allows us to make the carcass/cover combination that is ideal for your application.  Truly endless belts can handle the most demanding applications. Weather it is large sanders (5+ heads) that require a lot of tension or  smaller units that sand thin material 5mm and less.  These belts will not let you down and with the addition of a cotton back do not show the splice through thin material.

Vacuum or Not

Vacuum Belts - if your machine has not been equipped with a vacuum, no need. If you bought a used machine, and are not using the vacuum for small, lightweight or thin panels, you don't need vacuum.

Spliced Endless – These are made from our (10) most common specifications we stock.  We cut a step splice in the belt sand volcanize the belt endless in our shop.  These belts will be installed endless on the machine but will have a strong factory made splice.  Because we stock this material stateside, we can usually turn one of these belts around in just a few weeks.

Prepared Laps for Cold bonding – Made with our stocked spec’s.  We step the belts in house and ship open for cold bonding on the machine.  Installing these belts does not require disassembly of the machine.  Once cold bonded the belt will need to remain in clamps for 24 to 48 hours depending on temperature and humidity to get a full cure.

Hidden (Mechanical Splice) – This is our easiest/fastest installation to get you back up and running.  We peal back the top cover and install a hidden mechanical lace before volcanizing the cover back down.  Installation could not be easier.  Cut the old belt off.  Wrap the new belt around the pulleys and install the pin. Tension and track the belt.  Dress the belt with the course sandpaper so the belt is parallel to your machining heads.  We do not recommend this for high tension applications or when sanding thin material as the splice will show in the finish of the thin material you are sanding.
